Gourmet Garden: Ginger Jelly Fluffernutter Sandwich #15MinuteSuppers

March 7, 2014 by Rachel Everheart 13 Comments

This #15MinuteSuppers deliciousness has been sponsored by Gourmet Garden. Meaning this fluffernutter awesomeness just wouldn’t be the same without the conveniently tubed herbs and spices samples I received for it. Enjoy!

Roasted Beanz: Gourmet Garden #15MinutesSuppers

Roasted Beanz is SO excited! About what you ask? Well this week I’m joining up with an awesome group of foodie bloggers to showcase delectable ways to spend 15 minutes on your menu. And to highlight this {awesome} event, myself and these event bloggers have partnered up with Gourmet Garden for this great foodie recipe creation and giveaway!

Offering convenient herbs and spices ready-to-use in tubes, Gourmet Garden helps make creating #15MinuteSuppers a breeze. No washing or chopping required…just squeeze in some herbs to quickly flavor your suppers! So without further ado…I bring you the Ginger Jelly Fluffernutter Sandwich.

Really, I was attempting to create something entirely different when I stumbled upon this fantastic combination of using Gourmet Garden’s Ginger and Chili Pepper spices with butter and grape jelly. And despite all my reasoning to pour it over something else, I wanted it…no…craved it over a fluffernutter sandwich.

Roasted Beanz: Gourmet Garden #15MinutesSuppers

Because I don’t know about you, but when you have young kids, cold days, and late nights…there simply isn’t much better then down-home comfort food. One such food I’ve loved to indulge in? The fluffernutter sandwich. However, I’ve never been completely partial to just having it solely with peanut butter and marshmallow fluff. I like to add something else in to cut the thickness of the peanut butter and sticky sweetness of the fluff. Enter this quick, pour-able ginger jelly and I have found a piece of heaven.

Roasted Beanz: Gourmet Garden #15MinutesSuppers

And for me…a mom of two young kids. This is about as “main dish” as I get some days. I typically swirl the two joys of peanut butter and fluff together in a bowl first. To layer it on the separate pieces of bread and mash together just doesn’t seem to do it justice. Whether alone or paired with fruit {or coffee}, its filling and a comfort at the same time. The ginger gives the traditional grape jelly a new lease on life, while the added chili pepper will add in a bit of heat that isn’t at all related to its new molten consistency. Be ready for a new favorite.

Wow! I would have never thought to add spices to a fluffernutter sandwich, but it sure does look tasty! And gooey, which is almost always a good thing,

DH had fluffernutters growing up, and I have to admit I have an extreme fondness of peanut butter. These sandwiches look incredible and I know that he and I will be eating these very soon. We may even share with the kids!!

  • Life gets busy. Budgets get tight. And that's exactly when you need sandwiches and snacks to get JIF-fy with it. Am I right?

Pb&J is a staple in our house. I keep disposable spoons within reach of the kiddos to snag a scoop of PB. And I jazz up our jelly with Orange Marmalade. Want to know how to stretch that goodness even further? Grill up your favorite sammie! Come on over and see how... #Meijer #Ad #CraftPBJCreations
  • 😱😱😱 Like seriously. I just started and I've gotten up three times to move the thing and get distracted. We just need an Elf that just sits in the fridge or the bathroom. Then I know I'm always golden before the kids wake up.

  • ad: Lead the way I tell her... My girl is growing up on me. While she is well past the 8 year age stipulation. This past summer she finally sprung past those last 2 inches to booster seat freedom. Thats mom speak for, she's taller than 4'9". And really, even her Pediatrician told her she had to wait. Meaning now Im googling things like..."how old is a kid riding up front" and "coparenting and car insurance for 16 year olds". But even if her doctor wasnt consulted. Every parent should feel confident in deciding booster seat safety aspects. And with great sites such as the Michigan Office of Hwy Safety Planning, any parent (or concerned care giver) can. And sharing great info like that? Now that Im ready for.
