Are you looking for some excitement in your life? How about a drive that would put a little pep in that step? Or get into a seat that will have you drifting around corners and smiling for days? Then ladies and gentlemen…get yourself to the BMW Performance Center in Thermal, CA.
Of course, you don’t have to only be in California to enjoy this. With multiple locations, different tracks, and a variety of rides (even Groupon deals); you simply must experience this thrill ride for yourself. Recently, I was able to race an M-series fleet during the Drive2Learn A Girls Guide To Cars Conference in Palm Springs, CA. To say it was amazing…is an understatement.
To begin…I had never been to the desert before this event. So just driving out to the track, was gorgeous. I arrived in a group, had a great catered breakfast (keep it light ya’ll), and some of the best coffee a girl could ask for. All while the instructors went over a classroom session to give you the specifics on getting started during your time with them.
Our program, was listed as a corporate driving event. But there are a multitude of ways (and locations) you can enjoy the BMW Performance Center. The entire staff is amazing and there to ensure your time with them is bucket-list worthy. And you’ll find everything you need at your fingertips. From the gear shift panels on the wheel (if you opt for manual transmission) to over-the-counter medicine cabinet. All to keep you feeling your best while you drive out of your comfort zone.
For me, it was an experience of a lifetime. I topped speeds of 130+ mph; raced thru time clocks, drifted thru hot laps, and squealed tires around corners tighter a lug nut. Our group received medals for the best times (alas it wasn’t me) and swag to wear as sweet as our smiles.
All in all, this is the best gift to both give and receive. So in a time when screen time seems to reign supreme? Don’t just get off grid…get off road. And see how fun life is on the BMW Performance Center racing tracks!
