I love this picture. It’s as blurred as my days often seem.
While I’m always a fan of Life snapshots…this was one that I wasn’t even aware I took. I was even less aware of just how “cozy” my bedroom really looks. {LOL} And I probably would have deleted it too if not for the fact that Otis is looking directly at me.
Because there are some days that I pause mid-step simply in effort to imprint a passing moment. And not just big moments, but the small ones. Like when your done with a chore and headed back to pick up a happy, eager baby. The kids grow so fast. And now with two children, I never feel like I am able to take it all in like I’d love to. So in some small way; I hope that when I’m old and grey that effort to record a memory is what I’ll still have when I’ve forgotten so many others.
What about you? Is there a way that you try to save the times you feel most grateful?

I write them down. Nothing original in that, and with 4 kiddos underfoot I often don’t have the time before I forget, but I do try to write them down. Even if I have to jot a few words on a notepad and go back later and write it out. My kids like it when I go back and read something to them they can’t possibly remember because they were too small or not even born yet. And, of course, I take countless pictures:-)
