The following #SeventhGeneration sponsored post has been brought to you by Smiley360. As always my thoughts, opinions, and eco-friendly enthusiasm are my own. Thank you and enjoy!
I’ve always had sensitive skin. And it leads me to prefer products with more of an eco-friendly theme. So when I was really interested to see that Seventh Generation paired up with the Smiley360 to send out samples of their latest products for review.
After having my daughter, our household readily embraced the Seventh Generation diapers, wipes, and trainers. Eczema runs in our family, and my daughter was not immune to it. So if there is a trusted company with a new product, I love to test it out.
As a whole, these prove great essentials for Mom and Baby. And what stands out the most, is the readily available percentage of biobased USDA certified percentages in each product. Personally, I have an 80% rule – of which I try to keep the products or food in my home to be natural or organic. And I was happy to see that these products met my higher standards.
One of the most important things you’ll do for your baby, is the skin products. Seventh Generation has comprised a Baby Lotion that is 95% plant based, hypoallergenic, and gluten free. Its largely unscented in the terms of fragrance heavy mainstream lotions. Rather it leaves a fresh citrus essence of orange and grapefruit. Matching that scent, is the Foaming Baby Shampoo & Body Wash. Coming in at 89% biobased, I only wish it noted how its foaming is sourced. But I was glad for its no tears, gentle hypoallergenic formula.
And lets not forget the Seventh Generation Baby Natural 4x Laundry Detergent. Noting its great for cloth diapers, its ecologic packaging will thrill any recycling lovin’ Momma. Packing in quadruple the cleaning enzymes, this clear and lightly scented laundry liquid did a good job washing up the kids clothes. Its gluten free, HE compatible, and hypoallergenic as well. I had to smile too at the fact that it highlights being cold-water compatible. These products really do take a step forward in maintaining a eco-conscious theme.
So what is next you ask? How about Mom! Holding a much stronger scent then the baby items, the Seventh Generation Body Wash will delight the senses with its mandarin orange essence. We also received the Refreshing Facial Cleansing Cloths scented in Mandarin too. Large and readily available in a pop up disposable package, they will can both be a cleaning asset for removing those daily dirt and makeup. But more over, store them in the fridge for perk-me-up.
Last but not least, is the Seventh Generation Lavender Lotion. Noting pure ingredients to promote healthy skin, this lotion is a lavender delight. A nice and smooth scent, I was happy to note its realistic lavender essence left a soft smelling skin appeal. And with all the products noted here, this too noted that it was free from parabens and phthalates.
Seventh Generation has always done a great job at helping us remove the chemicals and toxic ingredients from our homes. In the future, I’d love to see more of these products attain an even higher biobased status. For super crunchy Momma’s – make sure to note all the ingredients since there are some aspects of sulfates used.
Overall however, Seventh Generation is still a brand that I can depend on. And I’m thrilled that these did wonderful in regards to our skin sensitives and allergen issues. So start kicking out the chemicals and synthetic fragrances with me. And see if Seventh Generation help your household too!
