Welcome to The Daily Dine! For this post, I’ll be highlighting the foods that you would find on Nutrisystem‘s Women’s Success Select Plan. After completing two months on this plan, I have lost 13 pounds now. You’ll lose an average of 1-2 pounds a week, so I’m right on track. And what is even more amazing? While learning the best ways to change my lifestyle for the better, I’ve lost this weight while not being able to actively exercise!
Sleep deprived and laid up with a badly sprained ankle. I loved that Nutrisystem kept my food choices simple for me. And as a blogger with the program, I love when people ask questions about how the system works for me. Recently, my primary care physician {its always good to get that yearly physical to track one’s weight loss progress} made a suggestive comment that surprised me.
Its a great plan for busy people and works well…so long as you don’t get tired of eating the same food all the time.
Well, I completely agreed with him regarding how awesome it helps organize my meals on a busy schedule. But there are a host of great new things to test out, sample, and otherwise expand your taste-buds with. And there are also those things that you could eat all day until the cows come home. The first of those things I could eat every morning, can be found in the Frozen Favorites Kit.
Behold the crown jewel in my freezer when my new monthly Women’s Success Select Plan from Nutrisystem is delivered. Unlike the plan’s Pantry items, the Frozen Favorites are a predetermined kit that is shipped to you as part of your 28-day order. This Cinnamon Pastry is topped with a sweet frosting and is sized as large as the palm of my hand.
And as I’ve experimented with different items on the plan, I’m growing quite fond of the different meal bars that are available too. My days never get too busy to where I can’t grab a meal bar to keep me going strong. This Double Chocolate Caramel Lunch Bar paired great with my strong coffee the other day. Talk about the perfect busy-mom-solution!
And just what of dinner? Well, that is reserved for another freezer frozen delight. The Sweet and Sour Chicken is a saucy, white rice delight. Big chunks of chicken breast and veggies await to fill you up. A big tip I couldn’t recommend more? Make sure that after you’ve cooked your meal, to plate it as well. You actually get a very good serving, so serve it up right and sit down to enjoy your meal.
Now, you’ll also be introducing your own selected grocery items to pair with your lunch and dinner. This allows you to continue to add variety to your meals as well as your snacks during the day. Also, you’ll get dessert every night. Yup, EVERY day you get to sit down to the sweet {or salty} treat of your choice.
One of my new mainstays? Say hello to Nutrisystem’s very own chocolate source….Nutrichocolates. Ever a girl who loves her chocolate, these prove perfect for a late night snack. And who says dessert can’t come earlier in the day? Some afternoons beg for a double delight and I pair this up with a protein snack of peanut butter instead of ending my day with it. And that is beauty of this weight loss plan. The foods are yours to command any way they suit your schedule best.
And speaking of lifestyle, some nights I must confess to being up LATE. My blogging schedule can cause a bit of havoc as my days will stretch from 8am to 3am the next morning. All day long I’m eating every couple hours so of course I get hungry in the wee hours of working. So I’ve experimented with the best items from Nutrisystem that work best for the occasional early morning mini-meal. And that is when I fell in love with this granola cereal goodie.
This is SO good, there is a reason I eat it in the morning. Because if my kids see this package…they come running for it. In fact, the hardest part of the Nutrisystem Women’s Success Select Plan? Keeping the food all to yourself! I can see where the Nutrisystem Family Plans can be so popular in this regard as well.
Overall, I have really enjoyed the past two months learning, trying, testing, and customizing the best ways for me to lose weight on Nutrisystem. I am still just as eager to eat my menu plan as I was on my first day. But I do take an interest in trying new things while keeping those I really enjoy coming back as well. And you can bet, I’m crossing my fingers I get more then one of those cinnamon pastries this month!
