The following Jamba Juice sponsored post has been brought to you by May Media Group LLC. As always my thoughts, opinions, and healthy eating enthusiasm are my own. Thank you and enjoy!
As a Mom, life would be so easy if my kids loved eating healthy. Granted, both my son and daughter have traditional fruits and veggies that fill their plates. But I’m fighting a losing battle if I start serving up the likes of butternut squash, spinach, kale, or more exotic fruits such as mangos. So when I heard that Jamba Juice has introduced a new line of healthy fruit and veggie smoothies I couldn’t wait to check them out!
Even better, is the fact that Jamba Juice has also worked with expert dietitians to create a new Kids Menu. Perfectly sized meals feature the best of what Jamba Juice offers. And as a Mom, I can rest assured that our yummy snack at the mall is filled with great fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein. Still, I have to admit I waited with baited breath to see if the Jamba Kids: Berry Beet It! smoothie was going to pass my daughters picky taste-buds test.
And you know what? It DID! She loved it, and the fact that it was in a snazzy {and reusable}, sturdy plastic kids cup made it even better. She gulped down half of it happily before I even got a chance to sip it myself. Knowing what it was made of, even I had to resist the urge to sip cautiously. But only because I couldn’t believe all that was involved in creating it. Because when you order the Jamba Kids: Berry Beet It! smoothie you’re ordering an incredible blend of the following fruits and vegetables:
- Strawberries
- Mangos
- Bananas
- Mixed berry juice
- Carrots
- Beets
- Broccoli
- Spinach
- Kale
- Lettuce
How awesome is that! And all I could taste were berries with a fresh aftertaste. All the ingredients blended so well. And what I was relieved at, was that during the made-to-order process of adding those veggies, the Jamba Juicer was sure to pop in the veggies on the sly so that little eyes couldn’t catch on. So big-time kudos again Jamba Juice!
Not to be left out, I ordered up the Tropical Harvest Smoothie to share in the our girl-time treat. And we split a {huge} Berry Agave Bar as well. Just like my daughters smoothie, I was so impressed that all I could taste was a delightful fruity smoothie with a fresh healthy aftertaste. And was I ever glad to have gotten the small size! At just 230 calories, this shake is both nutritionally dense as well as full and thick. It proved the perfect afternoon pick-me-up!
Free of diary and gluten, with no added sugar, the Tropical Harvest smoothie combines these great fruits and veggies:
- Mangos
- Peaches
- Passion mango juice
- Butternut squash {juice}
- Sweet potato {juice}
- Carrot {juice}
Both smoothies were full of great sources for vitamins such as A, C, B6, and fiber. And it was great to see the Jamba Juice mission statement on wall to confirm that they only use whole fruits and natural ingredients. They also leave out the trans fats, high-fructose corn syrup, as well as artificial flavors or additives. We really are getting the “real” deal for our money’s worth.
And so it goes that we have just one more great reason to go shopping at our favorite mall! Seriously though, its really impressive to find such great and healthy options for meals or treats on the go. We’ll be stopping back by soon to try out even more of this great fruit and veggie smoothie line at Jamba Juice. What about you?
