The following is a review post. As always my thoughts, opinions, and blanket-baby enthusiasm are my own. Thank you!
I had to smile when I saw the pictures of the newborn Prince of Cambridge bundled in a “Jungle Jam” Aden+Anais swaddle last week. Hands down, I couldn’t gift any new Mom something better then Aden+Anais muslin blankets. But what I’ve come to know {and love} is that there is so much more available then just swaddling squares! For instance, did you know about the Dream Blanket they also provide?
I discovered Aden+Anais after my daughter was out of swaddling stage. Little did I realize how much was offered or I’d have bought her a Dream Blanket sooner. As it was, I’d waited until after my son was born. Then with a 3 yr old and newborn, I purchased two coordinating patterns. A blue dotted {Star Bright} design for my son and a pink dotted {Star Light} for my girl.
From that moment on, there isn’t any other blanket so loved by my children. The generously sized {47×47}, soft and breathable Aden+Anais muslin fabric is layered four times providing a breathable warmth. There are so many designs to choose from including options for bamboo, organic, as well as the traditional classic version. And the most amazing aspect, is they simply get softer the more you wash them.
Flash forward two years and my son is ready to transition from crib to toddler bed. To celebrate, I really wanted to update his Aden+Anais bedding set. The first is still so soft and in perfect shape. But I’d gone traditional blue and white for his baby years. And now I’d wanted more of a pattern for this “in-between” stage he would be growing into. Hands down, I found that the Liam the Brave design it was perfect for him!
One reason I loved this pattern is that it proves how well Aden+Anais fits so many age ranges! My five-year-old is still loving her dream blanket. And this adventurous pattern just seemed perfect for a rambunctious little boy, with Medallion‘s, and Flying Dog‘s. They even have the swaddling blankets with coordinating Paper Airplanes! Just a delightful array of coordinating aspects. As I pull all the elements of his new bed together, I’ll also be buying new basic white swaddles to sew into custom pillow-cases.
Overall, I couldn’t be happier with our new blanket. I’m also relieved that we have a second Dream Blanket that will be staying on his bed now. As Otis has grown, he’s developed a strong love for his Aden+Anais blankets. They go everywhere he does, and its a comfort for me to know now that I’ve got him covered where ever he may be.

I just came across this and wanted to know whether or not you made those pillow cases you mentioned? And if so, how did that work? I love the aden and anais dream blanket and have been looking for a good pillow option to round out our toddler bed.
