This #AllGoodApril review has been brought to you by Carrington Farms and its blog ambassador program. As always my thoughts, opinions, and caffeinated obsessions are my own. Thank you!
Coffee. The sweet nectar of perpetual energy for sleep deprived parents everywhere. Even as my pantry and fridge get healthier and healthier, I have to admit my coffee has remained my guilty pleasure. That is until I came to know the Carrington Farms liquid Coconut Cooking Oil.
How does this make my morning wake-up call healthier? By adding a mere capful to my cup that’s how. Many people enjoy coconut oil {and its health benefits} in coffee already. But what Carrington Farms has just brought the world with its liquid coconut oil, is a source to easily distribute in coffee without having to blend it. The first of its kind, this {refined} liquid coconut oil still retains all those traditional health benefits while also having 5x more MCT’s then your typical virgin coconut oil.
Just what are these MCT’s I’m speaking of? One of the many benefits of coconut oil is the fact its rich in Medium Chain Triglycerides. Essentially, this is what the body can utilize for energy production and help aid with burning calories. Yup…so essentially its acting like a booster in your coffee straight wide-awake energy-land. So just why didn’t I want to do this from day one?
Because to know me is to know that I either like my coffee pipping hot or ice cold. Which the normal process of adding a spooned glob of coconut oil to your coffee means you have actually blend it in…with a blender. That’s not coffee…that’s a smoothie, often a luke-warm smoothie at that. Plus, I don’t know about you, but I also want my hot coffee to taste like coffee. Now I can readily keep my coconut flavors for pies with the Unflavored/Oderless liquid coconut oil from Carrington Farms.
Ready to try it too? Carrington Farms offers these {as well as many other healthy products} for purchase online, as well as in-store at your local grocers {think Walmart, etc}. I know the traditional organic virgin coconut oils is wonderful. And I’m always experimenting with things like organic milled flax seed. You can also find great recipe ideas and coupons on the Carrington Farms facebook page.
