Football is here. And with it all the glorious ways we an indulge in our favorite game-day passions. For some that is watching the ball go back and forth. For others, lets be honest…its the food.
After all, what are sports at all without the great goodies that come with it? And what is anything…without chocolate? On that note, I doubt anything satisfies football fans more then MARS candy. Meaning Snickers® bars have been saving women from endless fourth quarters for years.
And with the football pre-season upon us, you can bet your squares I’ve gone shopping to find my candy bar favorite in bulk. I also picked up a great variety mix only available as Sam’s Club as well. Yeah…I think I’m ready to slice, dice, and do all kinds of gorging on a new chocolate recipes this football season!
And just as pre-season gets the players warmed up, so it does for my kitchen. I couldn’t wait to modify the classic Snickers® dip to something a bit lighter and fluffier. And combining it with a great brunch for this weekends game-times sounded like just the ticket I’d been hankering for!
First, I made sure to cook up some beef bacon. For me, my favorite dinner is breakfast. And subbing out pork products for beef on this classic meat is a great way to change things up.
Once cooked, I patted it dry and laid a few strips in a pre-heated skillet to create an {awesome} bacon pancake. All it takes is drizzling the pancake batter over the panned bacon strip. With me so far? Good…cause it’s gonna get even better. For now though, lay out your bacon pancakes to slightly cool.
Your Snickers® crowning glory will come next. Now the choice on just how you slice up your Snickers® is for you. I like a chunky mix. Cutting chunks and then leaving some slices whole, I even save the chocolate slivers to tap back on top. Next, fold this classic chocolate candy into a Cool Whip Cream Cheese Frosting. No longer a dip, this fluffy and sweet topping will dollop beautifully onto your pancakes.
Go for the winning goal now by drizzling some dark amber agave nectar over the top instead of syrup. Whether its eaten by fork or fingers, this delectable delight will keep them coming back for more! It also makes your sweet tooth scream “Hallelujah”!
So tell me…who’s ready for some football?!? Not just is this tasty Snickers® dip good for brunch, but it also pairs beautifully alongside apples and pretzels. So you can still have your sweets and eat it too if bacon and breakfast isn’t your passion.
