Food and motherhood go together like peas and carrots. But as any Momma knows, good luck getting any peas or carrots down at dinner time. And I’m not talking about feeding the Littles either. As a Mom, the hardest part about mealtimes is even getting five minutes for myself to eat.
Enter my go-to solution. Finding great {and tasty} protein shakes and bars. V8 Fusion juice has long been a staple for our refrigerator. And now V8 is going to be a staple in our pantry shelves as well. Because Walmart now has the new V8 Protein line of bars and shakes!
Seriously…I’m always on the lookout for great new protein bars and shakes. A diet in my mind is all about moderation. And part of that is finding time for good nutrition. And it doesn’t get much better than finding a good source of protein with a quarter cup of your veggies in such a tasty treat. Plus, these V8 Protein bars have as much fiber as 2 cups of Kale!
And the V8 protein shakes are packed with good eats too. Each one comes from Milk, Soy, Pea, Brown Rice, and Quinoa. Veggies are found in the Sweet Potatoes and Carrots used. And ever a fan of real sweeteners: Honey, Brown Rice Syrup, Sugar seal the “real” deal for me.
I need those fast and immediately accessible good-for-you choices. And now the V8 protein bars will be great to grab as I run out the door. Or simply run after these kids. Who ever thought up the term “stay” at home Mom really wasn’t taking true mobility into consideration.
All in all, I have to thank V8 for keeping our eats so “deceptively” delicious! Eating better and gaining more protein in my day helps me tremendously. And with all the sweets the holidays bring, I don’t have to wait for the new year to eat better. Plus with six different flavor options for bars and shakes, I’ve found all the little indulgences my tastebuds crave.
So don’t go without, and grab a box on your next trip to the Walmart health/beauty aisle. Then make sure to tag me {@roastedbeanz} on twitter to let me know how you liked these V8 Protein bars {or shakes}. You can also find V8 on Twitter { and Facebook} as well. I’m sure they’d love to hear from you too!
