I absolutely love cheese. And one of my longtime favorites? Is none other than multiple varieties of crumbly, creamy Boursin cheese.
I swear I can live on crackers and cheese alone. Toss in fruit, veggies, and a little meat and this is why the holidays are my favorite foodie season! But really, its edible perfection at its finest. A little bit of everything to delight every tastebud.
This New Year celebration is filled with the Boursin limited edition Cranberry Spice variety. Which paired perfectly with black grapes, beef summer sausage and crisp table crackers. Simple accents for a cheese with flavors that doesn’t mind leading the way.
So just what is this “gournay” cheese variety? I liken it to a texture like Feta but with a creaminess of cream cheese. But once you try it, you’ll see that Boursin is in a category all its own. Even the kids adore it. And the flavor! Mmmm.
Not just for crackers either, I love spreading the Garlic & Herb Boursin on my morning bagel. Plus, this Cranberry Spice is divine in a salad. Pairing perfectly with light fruit as well as the beef. A fig walnut dressing completed this match made in heaven.
For instance, a plateful of baby romaine was the perfect base for this salad. I sliced the black grapes and crumbled my Boursin Cranberry Spice cheese atop. Then I sided it with my crackers {instead of croutons}. Opposite the crackers I stacked the beef summer sausage.
And now its your turn. Which great Boursin flavors would you like to try?
