You may have noticed…I love coffee. And if you happened to follow my social media accounts, you’re quite aware of my penchant for a certain green Siren. So I was very excited to announce last month, that I am part of the first Starbucks Coffee Blogger Community!
Can you remember your first Starbucks experience? I do. I was 19 and working on a Habitat for Humanity Women’s Build. This while visiting Portland, Oregon with my AmeriCorp *NCCC team. It was a light rainy drizzle, and Mt. Hood stood in the distance. Nothing like the shine of scaffolding at sunrise. Nor that first tentative sip of your espresso filled Mocha.
And so it began. From my Pike’s Place pilgrimage to Seattle, WA to renting apartments based on the Starbucks locator app. I love my Starbucks blends, mugs, cards, teas, and tasting cups.
So what does 2015 hold for me first? A welcome kit worthy of any coffee lover! And I’ll be taking you along with me as I get to test out new items and showcase old favorites.
To which my first shipment was incredible. And perfectly timed I may add, for a recent move. Nothing says “lets unpack boxes” like a tall tumbler filled with you’re favorite brew.
This was especially true as our new sublet rental had furnace and plumbing issues. So we were shifted back and forth during repairs. Thankfully, my first package included a classic Pour-Over Brewer. And it made making my morning coffee so much easier!
Also perking up my day was a bright red studio dot collection tumbler, a calendar, and 3 pounds of coffee. I love Verona blend for dessert, the Willow Blonde roast for my afternoon. But there will always be a special place in my heart for the Starbucks House blend.
This is such a go-to and popular blend. Its also where I started my Coffee Passport. Granted, I may wax on whimsical for my initial entry. But it was all the better to daydream on as I began the task of claiming my bedroom from the storage boxes.
And judging by the size of this room. I’ll need all 3 pounds of coffee to get through it! What Starbucks blend or drink is your favorite for getting motivated?

I am totally addicted to Starbucks! But it’s not the beans for me, it’s the Mocha Powder. I went into complete withdrawal when they stopped selling it on the retail market. I guess I’m not the only one because they brought it back after about a year of misery. Our closest store is 80 miles one way, but I make my own Mocha every morning at home.
