This #SamsClubMag sponsored post has been compensated by #CollectiveBias, Inc. and its advertiser. As always, my quest to healthy living and opinions are my own.
I have been a Sam’s Club member for years. And its one of my favorite places to take my kids and shop. After all, those free sample days are legendary in our household. But more than that, it’s all the extra amenities and benefits for members that keep us renewing our membership each year.
For instance, I love that you can upgrade from the basic Sam’s Club membership any time during the year. Tight on the budget? No problem, you can upgrade at a prorated amount later. Not to mention saving money by buying in bulk.
To this day, we adore the free samples and Cafe goodies. Serving everything from pizza slices to healthier salads, everyone is happy stopping for a bite to eat. And did you know you can also request to buy your Cafe favorites in box bulk for parties?
Party or no, make sure to try the frozen yogurt Four Berry Sundae. Whether you love asking for extra berries or not, its pure awesomeness. And you’ll find the Sam’s Club Cafe even has chocolate frozen yogurt now!
Another great tip is that you don’t even need a membership to use the Sam’s Club Pharmacy. But being a Plus Member in 2011, saved me nearly $400 a month with Sam’s Club prescription discounts. And was also the first time I learned about all the free health events, tests, and advice available.
There isn’t a day we go towards the Sam’s Club Pharmacy that the kids don’t jump over to the blood pressure machine. Granted they can’t use it yet. But as I oblige, it gives me a chance to teach them how our healthy choices are all connected to our overall health. We also stock our medicine cabinet with our favorite items, vitamins, and allergy meds.
Plus a great lesson they’ve realized now is that adults get vaccinations too! I’ve talked with the pharmacist in regards to my immunization options with them in tow. Our new local club even offers a semi-private corner to administer them.
Another awesome {and free} service to mention is the free health screenings. Scheduled for the second Saturday of each month, each event is valued at up to $150. The most recent “Breathe Easy” event on April 11th focused on seasonal allergies. And the free health tests offered by registered nurses included:
- Glucose
- Total Cholesterol
- HDL
- Blood Pressure
- Vision Screening/Testing
- Risk Ratio
- Body Fat Percentage
If test results can’t be indicated right away, they’ll be mailed to you privately later. Also offered to take home, is the Healthy Living magazine. Full of advice from lifestyle suggestions to healthy recipes, and its free and one of my favorite bi-monthly magazines now.
I also love that there are free hearing tests available. I now have a running joke that I’m taking the kids to Sam’s Club if they say they can’t hear me. {LOL} Because Sam’s Club isn’t just a staple in our pantry…its a staple in our entire household.
You can grab your own copy of the Healthy Living Made Simple magazine online or at your local Sam’s Club.I know I love following them as well on Twitter, Facebook, and Pinterest.
What about you? The next free health screening will be May 9th. Would you see the benefits of having a Sam’s Club membership with all these complimentary benefits?
