Life is funny. Just when you think you’ve gotten things down pat, Mother Nature likes to throw a curve ball. For us, that’s brought us to believing in better milk options. Are you ready to live the fairlife too?
Food intolerance’s are a weird thing to experience. In some cases, they can come and go or moderation is the key. But others are here for the long haul. For us, while we aren’t lactose intolerant, too much can really have an undesirable effect.
And with that, you hope to find an easy everyday milk choice to substitute it with. So what to do when I have two Little’s that love milk? You find great lactose-free alternatives that tastes amazing that’s what. And it’s why I hop over to our local Kroger and pick up the new fairlife.
Because with fairlife, you can believe in better milk too. With 50% more protein and 30% calcium it was an easy choice for us to consider. Not to mention 50% less sugar {vs conventional milk}. I don’t have to worry about growth hormones. Plus its ultra filtered to perfection.
Something else that it makes easier? Its creamier than almond or soy milks. And its consistency means it sets up better in recipes for me. Namely…our kitchen favorite, pudding pies. And this one is inspired by S’mores.
And in this case, I’m whisking 2 cups fairlife chocolate milk with a chocolate fudge pudding mix. Which folds right up with 1/2 a bag of mini marshmallows. After its been whisked and folded, pour this whole bowl into a pre-made graham cracker crust. I just love how simple and fun these pies are.
But we’re not done! You’ll need 1/2 a tub of whipped cream to top off this S’mores Pudding Pie. I even toss it in the freezer for 1/2 an hour to solidify up for easier serving.
But half the fun of this dish? Deciding how you’ll enjoy it! That is it can be scooped, sliced, shoveled, and spooned onto bowl or plate. So whether its diced up as a pie or truffle…its one sweet dish you’ll love to share.
Locate your nearest Kroger with this online store locator. And make sure to check out fairlife on Facebook. They’d love to hear from you! And so would I. Are you ready for a lactose free milk that doesn’t taste like it?
