If food is glorious, then food with friends is even more divine. And nothing beats getting the chance to gather round a table at Famous Hamburger with fellow bloggers. Especially when that involves sampling a menu of tasty appetizers, juicy burgers, and classic milkshakes!

So where do I begin to take you on this savory adventure? Well, it should be noted that we took full advantage of the Famous Hamburger late night hours. Which was perfect for a few ladies in our dining party participaing in Ramadan. I say it’s ideal for any group of friends to escape for an hour or two and catch a breath with great eats.
While we were all seated in a nice long table, I loved the booths and glass soda coolers surrounding us. The environment was bright, cheery, and very family friendly. Signature seasoning was within easy reach. And I found the menu was filled with choices, and customizable for diets restricted to vegetarian, gluten-free, and halal.
Our burger selected, the entire table was thrilled to see the appetizers and shakes delivered. And Famous Hamburger doesn’t disappoint with it’s diary and whip confections. Whether you choose a Signature Freezer (includes Snickers, M&M’s, Cookie Dough, Reese’s, or Oreo) or opt for a Classic Shake like myself; you’re sure to be delighted.
Also at our table were the appetizers! Our Ultimate Nachos were piled high in both a ground beef and vegetarian option. And I was told the Macaroni & Cheese Bites were quite tasty.
The kitchen was on point as well, and we began to get our main entree’s soon after. With the traditional burger bun being emblazoned with pride. Our table had everything serving up from chicken, veggie burgers, and sliders. Full plates meant happy bellies and everyone agreed they enjoyed what was ordered up.
Which I have to say, with a table of 10 different bloggers is always impressive to see. And as person that eats wheat-free, it’s a delight to find a menu offering gluten-free buns. I was further delighted to find this seeded variety offered. Soft and tasty, this optional bun is wonderful. I had ordered The Famous Hamburger from the menu. Upon request, I had them also place top buns on this typically open-faced double patty burger.
Thus a burger that would normally be eaten with a knife and fork, became a wonderfully easy double-burger meal if you’re looking to share a plate. Among other standard condiments, one patty is topped with cheese and the other patty is crowned with a fried egg. I also opted to serve it up with sweet potato waffle fries on the side.
People…I’d go back for the waffle fries alone! Okay, I’d go back again for everything. It was just that good. Service was excellent as well. And at just 5-8 minutes off of I-94, this downtown Dearborn, MI location was easy to get to. It’s notable to include that location does utilize paid street parking. However there is a free parking garage located just behind Famous Hamburger as well.
Overview: Multiple Famous Hamburger locations throughout the Detroit Metro area. And it’s great to know that everyone at the table can eat comfortably with vegetarian, gluten-free, halal, etc. options available. (Please inquire to the waitstaff and kitchen in regards to cross-contamination concerns.) Fun atmosphere and booth seating ensures a comfortable visit for all ages. And a large menu offers numerous choices from appetizers to dessert. Also notable, that Classic and Specialty milk shakes are only served with malt flavoring upon request.
