Breakfast is my favorite. So are easy and convenient meal solutions. And as we approach a new school year, I welcome the early morning routine that comes with it. Made all the more easier for what’s cooking up in my kitchen as the coffee brews!
Which for us, stocking up on school supplies starts with stocking up the kitchen at Walmart. Stashed on the fridge shelves is Hillshire Farm® Farm Classics® Lunchmeat. And tucked in the freezer is Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken. Now that we have our oven roasted turkey and pulled chicken, let me show you how it fuels our day!
For starters, let me just say how easy it is to whip up school lunches with Tyson® Grilled & Ready® Chicken. Available in a variety of whole breast and sliced styles, it’s the Pulled Chicken Breast is the perfect versatile frozen favorite in our home. With more schools banning nut products, adding this pulled chicken in a bento, sandwich, or quesadilla is a perfect protein plus to the kids’ day!
But when it comes to a favorite recipe for anytime of the day? That is using the Hillshire Farm® Farm Classics® Lunchmeat in a breakfast bowl. A huge fan of turkey, I love finding easy ways to add it’s lean protein to my plate. And after realizing how tasty browning up lunchmeat can be, having it replace other meats (such as bacon) was a snap!
So to start my breakfast bowl, I pull out my ingredients:
- Hillshire Farm® Farm Classics® Oven Roasted Turkey
- Liquid Egg Whites
- Cheddar Cheese
- Hashbrowns
- Roasted Sweet Peppers
- Butter
- Pancake Syrup
Warm a non-stick skillet with a medium flame. Add in 2 tbsp butter, and the ready-to-cook frozen hashbrowns. At this time, add in any frozen vegetables. Personally, I love roasted sweet peppers in this dish. Cook to preference and set aside.
Next layer in 3-4 slices of the new Hillshire Farm® Farm Classics® oven roasted turkey breast. Allow the turkey to warm and caramelize. Then set aside.
Finally, pour in your liquid egg to thinly cover the bottom of your prewarmed non-stick skillet. The thin nature of this egg “pancake”, allows it to cook completely in 3-5 minutes. Once cooked, begin constructing your breakfast bowl.
First insert the egg into the bowl. Then l layer in the oven roasted turkey breast. Followed by the shredded cheddar cheese.
Last, fill the center of the bowl with hashbrowns and veggies. Top with drizzled maple syrup (or your favorite gravy) to set your tastebuds off onto this sweet and savory adventure!
