This #THFholidaynights post has been compensated in the form of gift card and/or service received at a reduced price or gratis. As always, my holiday nights adoration are my own.
Looking for a great way to usher in the New Year? Then get those kids out of the house and over to The Henry Ford for the final evening of their Holiday Nights program! Open tonight from 6:30-10pm, you’ll find an array of festive tidings, warm eats, motor car rides, spins on the carousel, arts and crafts, hot fires, and of course…fireworks! Sounds great right?
So by all means, scroll down for fun images of my recent trip to the Holiday Nights event! My kids and I met up with family members. All for a wonderful night of holiday happenings. And while the whole of Greenfield Village is utilized, I was amazed that we spent all 4 hours on Main Street. The kids were fascinated with every corner. The hot cocoa flowed, and the roasted chestnuts? OMG…I’d go back for just those alone!

Oddly enough however, it was one other aspect that amazes me most. You see I didn’t grow up celebrating Christmas. So for me, it’s given me the perspective that celebrating this time of the year isn’t about presents. It’s about family.
It’s about gathering with other like-minded spirited smiles. It’s about hot drinks, twinkling lights, roaring fires, and great eats. It’s about the fact you can gather together in a place to celebrate simply taking the time of being together. There are also carousels. Which is pretty much anyone direct route to feeling like a kids again.
So whether it’s this year or any one that follows. I totally recommend gathering up you and yours up to go have some old fashioned fun at The Henry Ford. Because whatever the season, you’ll get a chance to leave this busy era behind. And on some days, that can make all the difference for better tomorrows!
