This #GenesisNAIAS sponsored post has been compensated by She Buys Cars and its #DetroitLovesAutos advertiser. As always, my opinions on food, fun, and the newest luxury automobiles are my own.
This week I got to do something I have wanted to do for years. I was invited to attend the press events on behalf of She Buys Cars for the North American International Auto Show. And if you know anything, it’s that coffee loves cars like Detroit loves #NAIAS. What you may not know however…is that during these media events (non-public), the vehicles are actually unlocked for viewing.
And I can’t wait to show you inside one of the best luxury cars for the family! The 2017 Genesis luxury automobile series. And whether you’re looking at the Genesis G80 or the Genesis G90? You’ll find the biggest luxury is in the details.
Which one huge detail for families to notice, is a vehicle garnering continued Top Safety Pick for 2016 and 2017 plus 5-Star Safety ratings. Not to mention being a finalist in the 2017 North American Car of the Year. So not only can a Mom enjoy this brilliantly red Genesis G80 Sport; but she knows the kids will be safe zipping around town with her.
I found the Genesis G90 to have even more room to bring the family on the road. Suction doors to ensure tiny fingers won’t be slammed. Automatic window shades to protect the Littles while they sleep rear-facing. Or simply more leg room and reclining back seats for the kids as they get older. There’s a heads-up safety feature as well as a driver-drowsiness monitor for those long days.
And ya’ll…that isn’t the maintenance concierge service. One that will pick up your Genesis vehicle for repair or even an oil change. All while leaving you a vehicle to use until yours is returned. The sheer thought that I could easily multitask an oil change into my busy schedule with a quick call made my heart flutter.
I also really loved the clock. While I require the 2017 Genesis wireless charging and integrated mobile connectivity, I adored the authenticity of the analog data. I also wanted to note that while the Genesis G80 Sport has it’s own dash design. The G80 and Genesis G90 models incorporate a woodgrain accent. Oh…and then there’s the moon roof.
Because there are few details that take my breath away…than an entire windowed rooftop. Being from Michigan, those long nights in the winter do get a bit much. And the growing tread to make side windows smaller has begun to make me claustrophobic. But the amount of light this feature lets in to offset that? Well it’s absolutely amazing.
It’s also important to note that this is most comfortable backseat I have ever…ever…encountered. Configured with it’s own smart posturing system (SPC) even the kids can preset the best lumbar and back support. No worries, it’s also included in the front. And your key will remember your saved driver seat settings for you.
There really are so many features that make the 2017 Genesis brand a luxury. But while many luxury cars are more considered for adults? What impressed me was that Genesis USA could incorporate that same comparable luxury for adults with children as well. So make sure to head to Cobo Center in Detroit, MI this year for your view of the North American International Auto Show. They really do have something for everyone this year!
