Best Buy Brings Smart Security Home With Vivint

We all grow up to crave a safe home. Especially when you become a parent. But getting a typical home security system to fit the bill (and your budget) isn’t an easy task. That is, until Best Buy recently partnered with Vivint smart home security.

 And that’s why I was thrilled  to discover what Vivint has brought to the Detroit Metro area. Namely, a no-contract home security system. One that also enables you to bring in smart-home features. Vivint helps you control everything from cameras, control panels, locks, lights, and temperature. This from the touch of a button and/or the use of a free smart phone app.

What stands out first for me, was walking up to a big blue door that could lock itself. That’s right…not only do you get the traditional protection. But now you have the added peace of mind if you actually locked the front door. You can easily send a command to auto-lock from the control panel or app. That also applies to your garage door too!

Know what’s even cooler? The smart features that Vivint offers even integrates with Amazon Echo. Simply instruct your Echo to turn up the furnace when it’s too cold in the morning. Or even turn down the lights for that matter too. Another very helpful feature was the 24/7 monitoring that enables elderly monitoring. As well as offering Nanny Cam’s that enable 2-way communication!
