I love the desert. Granted, I’ve seen the ocean, mountains, and nearly all the US has to offer. But until now finding any true Oasis eluded me. That is, until I was able to stay at the Miramonte Indian Wells Resort & Spa in Indian Wells, CA this past November. And ya’ll, it was worth the wait.
While in town, I joined an amazing group of women gathered to celebrate all things travel and cars. But what really brought us all together was the amazing luxury landscape that the Miramonte Resort brings every visitor.
The main lodge offers a gorgeously remodeled restaurant and bar. And in true California ambiance, the outside is welcomed in. The expansive lawns offer great spaces for games, lounging, and fire pits to sit by. Passing by The Well Spa, you’ll find hidden pools along the walkways leading to a variety of buildings. These buildings house the suites and rooms we stayed at.
The rooms are comfortable and spacious. Beds are firm yet soft. My lower level unit had a marvelous walk-out patio to enjoy your morning coffee. All while offering proper security measures on all doors. When I did need to call housekeeping for items forgotten in my travel bag? They had someone there right away to answer my request.
While certainly able to accommodate handicapped individuals, this location is more for able bodied travelers. Being a resort, expect daily resort and incidental charges. But as such, you’ll find the staff to be extremely courteous and helpful.
The Well Spa at Miramonte Indian Wells Resort is a marvelous way to recoup as well. I highly recommend taking the time to enjoy the hidden passages allowed for those purchasing a day pass. Inside there are more alcoves to privately enjoy the additional services offered. Such as the nail salon, massage rooms, and eucalyptus oil infused sauna. Items are available for purchase both at the spa and gift shop.
Overall, I really enjoyed my time at the Miramonte Resort & Spa. Within a few days time, I was driving back to Los Angeles (2 hour drive). So do note, that even when attending events in LA, San Diego, and nearby Coachella, this Palm Springs resort would be a great option to accomodate you.
